Parnell Laboratories (Aust) Pty Ltd (Parnell) is pleased to announce the successful sale of the Brand Assets of several of its most successful veterinary products to International Animal Health Products Pty Ltd (IAHP) effective today; June 26, 2009.
Parnell is a global veterinary pharmaceutical that has been owned and based in Australia for nearly fifty years. Parnell’s heritage was built on the development and manufacture of leading brands of veterinary pharmaceutical medicines that have come to be trusted and widely used by Australia’s leading veterinary practitioners. Parnell has embarked on a global expansion and focus on its major therapeutic platforms; inflammatory disorders, cattle reproduction, mineral supplements and anesthetics. As such Parnell has sought to divest many of its heritage brands to one of Australia’s leading manufacturers of veterinary medicines- International Animal Health Products.
Under the deal IAHP will acquire outright the brand assets, registrations and manufacturing of the following well known products:
• Butin Paste (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory for use in horses)
• Bromotrimidine Paste and Powder (anti-infective for respiratory infections in horses)
• Trimidine Powder (anti-infective for use in horses, pigs, poultry and cattle)
• Sodide injection (anti-infective for fungal infections in cattle)
• Koagulon injection and syrup (anti-dote for poisoning in dogs, cats, horses and cattle)
• CopperEx injection (Copper Glycinate mineral supplement for use in cattle)
• Cue Bullets* (Oral Copper supplement for use in cattle and deer)
The above brands are variously registered and marketed in Australia, New Zealand, Middle East and Asia. IAHP will continue to market these products in all current pack sizes and jurisdictions.
*The brand name Cue Bullets is not being sold- this product will be re-launched under a new name but with the same formulation.
