Platypus Activate
An easy to use proprietary formulation containing peptides, minerals and other nutrients to maximise the germination and subsequent rapid growth of selected probiotic Bacillus species in PLATYPUS AQUACULTURE. It has been specifically formulated to be ideal for routine use in aquaculture growout ponds. Use of PLATYPUS ACTIVATE is a cost-effective means of growing very large numbers of viable, Bacillus microorganisms in a short time. For the Bacillus spores to germinate, it is necessary to provide a short 'heat shock' by adding the spores to freshly boiled solution of PLATYPUS ACTIVATE in water, followed by a period of gentle aeration.

Platypus Aquaculture for Growout Application
Promotes a healthy environment for fish, crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic animals grown in fresh, brackish and marine waters. It supplies a special blend of Bacillus species that are naturally occurring, mesophilic, gram positive spore-forming rods, aerobic or facultative, and grow between pH 5.5 and 9.0 (ideally between pH 7.5 and 8.5). Benefits using the PLATYPUS AQUACULTURE are: inhibition of disease-causing organisms such as Vibrio species water quality improvement
* reduces the need for water exchange, provided aeration is adequate
* zooplankton enhancement
* balancing and stabilising of existing algal blooms
* lessening of sludge build up
* accelerating breakdown of dissolved fragments of unused feed

Platypus Aquaculture for Hatchery Application
Promotes a healthy environment for fish, crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic animals grown in fresh, brackish and marine water in aquaculture hatcheries. The product comprises a special blend of Bacillus species that are naturally occurring, mesophilic, gram-positive spore-forming rods, aerobic or facultative, and grow between pH 5.5 and 9.0 (ideally between pH 7.5 and 8.5). Benefits of using PLATYPUS AQUACULTURE are:

Platypus Hatchery Activate

It has been specifically formulated to be ideal for daily use in the larval-rearing, broodstock and spawning / hatching tanks in aquaculture hatcheries. %r%nUse of PLATYPUS HATCHERY ACTIVATE provides a cost-effective means of growing very large numbers of viable Bacillus microorganisms in a short time. For the Bacillus spores to germinate, it is necessary to provide a short 'heat shock' by adding the spores to a freshly boiled solution of PLATYPUS HATCHERY ACTIVATE in water, followed by a period of gentle aeration.

Platypus In-feed Concentrate
A concentrate of live probiotic spores for incorporation in aquafeeds. PLATYPUS IN-FEED CONCENTRATE is a free flowing meal for addition to feed prior to pelleting. It provides a convenient way to provide the benefits of PLATYPUS polyculture probiotics via incorporation into aquafeeds. Trials have shown that it can be used in feed manufacturing processes such as a cold pressed and steam conditioned pelleting at temperatures up to 105 degrees Celsius. The probiotic spores will be stable in the finished feed for 3 years
